Blossoms 'Round Our Feet

The title for this work was taken from a verse of an old song, Love At Home.
The verse says, "Roses blossom neath our feet, when there's love at home...".
Our children were the blossoms 'round my feet when they were little,
and they filled our home with the sweetest love life offers.

The roses were made with dried rose petals and magazine images of roses combined.

I love to use old book illustrations because they capture just the right feeling for my mother-child themes.

More on collage and the processes
of this art form is explained in About the Art.
